Phone Calls for Freedom: This week only!

The 5 demands for a free Venezuela: 1) NO to the National Salvation Agreement; 2) Juan Guaidó no longer represents the Venezuelan people; 3) We don’t want more elections with the regime, we want the Cuban and Russian troops OUT; 4) We want to dismantle the PSUV party-state; 5) We want the US to STOP funding the false opposition and for everyone to respect our fight for FREEDOM.

Today the Citizens Embassy of Venezuela in the United States launches the project “Phone Calls for Freedom” (Telefonazo por la Patria in Spanish). Last week, the emissaries of the so-called Interim Government of Venezuela were in Washington DC. There they held a series of meetings with US government officials in which these false dissidents sold the lie that the Venezuelan people support elections and cohabitation with the usurper regime that handed over Venezuela’s sovereignty to the Cuban army.

Below is a list of 29 individuals who either work in the US State Department or in Congress. The State Department case officers are assigned to Venezuelan affairs while the members of Congress are on the congressional committees that deal with the Western hemisphere and Latin America. Quite literally, these are the people who form and guide United States policy on Venezuela.

Phone Calls for Freedom is your opportunity as a Venezuelan to directly contact members of the North American government and tell them the truth: Venezuela will never be free by pretending to have democratic elections with a barbaric dictatorship, and especially not while foreign troops occupy Venezuela in support of that dictatorship, and certainly not with US taxpayers paying a false opposition to lose on purpose. All Americans and Venezuelans inside the United States are encouraged to call these individuals on the phone. (Remember, in the US people have the right to lobby their government to change its policies.) All Venezuelans and supporters of Venezuelan freedom located outside the US are strongly encouraged to directly contact these people by email or with a message on social media.

Friday July 2 is the last day of the project. That’s the last Friday before the July 4th national holiday in the US. Then, on July 5, Venezuela’s National Day, Juan Guaidó will convene his “citizen assemblies” to “ratify” the National Salvation Agreement, which is actually just an agreement for the salvation of the chavista regime and its guardians in the false opposition.

It’s not easy taking time out of your week to call 29 people, but it’s even more difficult trying to live off of two dollars a day while the National Guard, the Special Action Forces, and the Collectives continue killing our citizens, and both the usurper dictator and the so-called Interim President keep promising vaccines that never come. It’s time for the Venezuelan people to say ENOUGH! No one is coming to free us, so it’s time that we free ourselves in the same manner that the Romanian people freed themselves from Nicolae Ceausescu.

Instructions

  • Communicate directly with each of the public officials and their offices. Use all means of communication available (phone call + email + messages on social media).
  • If you’re in the United States, call the listed congressmen at their Washington office and also at their district office in their home state. If you want to make calls from abroad, the international US code is +1.
  • On all emails and messages on social networks, include a selfie photo with your Venezuelan ID or passport or your US or state photo ID where the data is clear, to verify that you are a real person and not a bot. (You’re sending this to government officials, not to random people on the Internet.)
  • Make a short video for social media saying that you participated in the Phone Calls for Freedom for Venezuela campaign because there can be no democracy under a dictatorship and a foreign military occupation.

The 5 key demands to communicate

  • NO to the “National Salvation Agreement”. We do not want elections with the regime. They have never respected the results of the elections: neither the 2004 referendum, nor the 2007 reform, nor the 2015 parliamentary elections, nor the 2017 regional ones.
  • Juan Guaidó no longer represents the Venezuelan people. He sold his town to the regime to enrich himself with the other corrupt ones. We no longer support or acknowledge it. Leopoldo López is another cohabiting scammer and he doesn’t represent us either.
  • Instead another absurd call for elections, we want all Cuban soldiers, Russian soldiers, Colombian guerrillas, members of Hezbollah, and Mexican drug traffickers to leave Venezuela immediately. They are all invaders.
  • We want to dismantle the PSUV party-state and the Suns Cartel, just as the National Socialist party-state was dismantled in Germany in 1945. They are not a government, they are a mafia. End of story.
  • We respectfully demand that the US stop funding the false opposition (a.k.a. the “Interim Government”) immediately and that the State Department abandon the talks on more elections with the regime and, instead, to focus on pressing for the immediate withdrawal of all the Cubans and Russian troops from Venezuela. We’re not asking for a US intervention, but for the troops who already invaded our country to LEAVE.
NO al Acuerdo de Salvacion Nacional
NO to the National Salvation Agreement (a.k.a. the Agreement for the Salvation of the Regime)!

We reiterate: It’s time for the Venezuelan people to say ENOUGH! No more phony elections, no more international mediators, no more stealing from US taxpayers and needy Venezuelans. No one is coming to free us, so it’s time that We the People of Venezuela free ourselves in the same manner that the Romanian people freed themselves from Nicolae Ceausescu.
